EnergiVault is a plug and play cold thermal energy storage system. It adds flexibility and creates value from chilled water systems, reducing energy costs, optimising chillers and increasing resilience.
EnergiVault Cold Thermal Energy Storage Dynamic Chiller Cooling Support
The configuration is the basic deployment of EnergiVault. The thermal battery is connected into a chilled water circuit in parallel or series and provides direct cooling support in response for load shifting, chiller optimisation and resilience/ back-up.
Integrated Heat Pump and EnergiVault Balancing heat on demand with cold energy storage
This configuration shows how EnergiVault can be deployed with a heat pump of comparable size to the EnergiVault charger, significantly increasing overall COP by integrating the condenser of the thermal battery charger with the evaporator of the heat pump, converting it into a water to water heat pump with integrated cold thermal storage. This allows the heat pump to operate on demand whilst storing the cold side for use at a later time.
